Privacy Policy

At Starhost, we are committed to transparency. This policy explains how we handle your data within our stack: Blesta (Billing), Pterodactyl (Panel), and Stripe (Payments).

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Data: When you register via Blesta, we collect your name, email address, and IP address.
  • Service Data: We store configuration data for your servers (e.g., startup commands, file metadata) within Pterodactyl.
  • Payment Data: We use Stripe for payment processing. Starhost does not store your credit card numbers; this data is handled securely by Stripe.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provision and manage your hosting environment.
  • To process automated recurring billing and send invoices.
  • To provide technical support and security alerts.
  • To detect and prevent abuse of our infrastructure.

3. Third-Party Data Sharing

To provide our services, we share limited data with the following partners:

  • Stripe: For secure payment processing.
  • Infrastructure Providers: We use dedicated servers from companies like Hetzner Online GmbH. While they provide the hardware, they do not have direct access to your personal account data unless required for legal compliance (e.g., DMCA/Abuse reports).
  • Legal Authorities: We will disclose information only when legally required to do so by a valid court order.

4. Data Security

Your data is stored across secure databases. Access to your server files is restricted to you and authorized Starhost administrators. We recommend using Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on both your Blesta and Pterodactyl accounts.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information as long as your service is active. If you cancel your service, we will retain certain billing records for tax and legal purposes as required by law.

6. Your Rights

You may request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time by opening a support ticket. Please note that deleting your account will result in the immediate destruction of all hosted server data.
